The farm, now a vibrant village consisting of shops, restaurants and an award-winning inn, still features rolling pastures, farm animals, the dairy barn, silo, and other farm structures. Several of these original buildings have been re-adapted and now form the heart of our Village Center. Located in the front of The Fearrington House Restaurant, the bar is the perfect spot to enjoy pre-dinner cocktails or stop by for a glass of wine to enjoy on the porch or strolling the gardens.

RB and Jenny Fitch were captivated by their stays at Relais & Châteaux properties in Europe and in the U.S. The Inn was constructed in 1986, and in 1988, The Fearrington House Inn and Restaurant became members of Relais & Châteaux. Today, we think Jenny would be pleased to know Fearrington Village is now a certified Bird Friendly Habitat at the highest level by the New Hope Audubon Society. Migratory and resident birds bring life and movement to the many lovely garden spaces. In 1980 when the Fearrington House Restaurant opened, Jenny began designing and installing our gardens. The gardens are an integral part of the life at Fearrington, and it all began with a dream.

Not sure what this was rated, but I'd give it a solid 3 stars. If it had a pool and a gym and free parking, I'd rate it even higher. They were quite responsive to our requests to clean room 2x while we stayed there 5 nights. We needed extra towels each day and this was not a problem for them. Was surprised to see a combo bathtub/shower as most hotels have ditched bathtubs. Our afternoon tea menu features loose leaf and herbal teas, in addition to alternative drinks and kid-friendly options.

The Spa
Jenny’s Garden is one of the more recognizable spots at Fearrington. Located next to the Inn, Jenny’s Garden is a circle of ivy-lined pathways and white structures leading up to an artistic fountain. The seeds of the gardens were sowed by Jenny Fitch in 1980 when she planted hundreds of daffodils behind the Restaurant. Since then, the gardens have bloomed and expanded into her legacy. And Jenny Fitch came across the Fearrington property and fell in love with the charming European-style land.
For a more casual, yet still upscale, dining experience, visit the bar at the Fearrington House. In addition to the long list of drinks, there are some food options for guests to snack on. However, since membership is only granted to inn and restaurant pairings, the Fitches built the Fearrington House Inn in 1986 and received Relais & Châteaux affiliation in 1988. While traveling across Europe, the Fitches encountered many Relais & Châteaux institutions.
